The time has come for the Ford Mustang to gain the international respect and admiration that it has enjoyed in the United States, where each year there are over eighty thousand models sold. The international community has been a little slow to embrace American muscle cars but that is changing. For the first time in its fifty year history of making teenage dreams come true for baby boomers everywhere, the 2015 Ford Mustang has chosen to forego its live axle rear suspension in favor of an independent rear suspension and many car enthusiasts around the world say it’s about time.

The designers have done a masterful job with the body design by creating a look that is both classically old school and modern at the same time. It’s hard to explain but when driving in traffic, with a gaggle of other cars around, the eye is somehow just drawn to the Mustang like a magnet and for kids who notice this American icon who are not yet old enough to even know the difference between a V6 and a V8, or to be interested in improved safety features and performance, will from that day forward dream of the day when they can sit behind the wheel of a Mustang and burn white smoke at a red light while leaving the other drivers in the rearview, no matter the country they live in.

One of the key improvements made to the 2015 model that has people around the world scrambling to finally get a Mustang is the interior which received a complete overhaul in 2015 and is more comfortable and ergonomically sound than ever. The wide stance of the Mustang provides ample room for two men side by side but more than that, it creates a look of intimidation and stability that can’t be found with the Chevy Camaro. And while the Camaro continues to be a popular model traditionally competes with the Mustang for muscle car supremacy, this year’s sales numbers are hard proof that the competition for this year has been won by the Ford Mustang, which is quickly becoming one of the most sought after cars in far off places such as Iraq, Australia and Japan and it’s no surprise that the world is starting to realize what Americans have known for half a century; the Ford Mustang is one sweet ride no matter where you are.
