From Sept. 24-26, 2015, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction will take place. Known as The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions®, the event will showcase a variety of classics and rare cars such as a 2006 Shelby GT-H CSM, 1989 Lamborghini Countach and a 1962 Chevy Corvette custom convertible, among many others.

Other Ford Mustangs that will be on display include a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 428 Super Cobra Jet and a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302. Owned by Walt Seaman, vice president of Hertz Worldwide Fleet Operations, the 4.6-liter 2006 Shelby GT-H CSM was inspired by the 1966 Shelby GT350H and has only 933 actual miles. All the parts used in the modification are Ford numbered pieces except for the Shelby hood and it is one of only four Shelby’s produced for Hertz that has a 5-speed manual transmission. Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, said the Ford collection this year was “particularly impressive” and called the S 2006 Shelby “remarkable”.

Included in the collection is a red and white 2005 5.4-liter 550hp supercharged V8 Ford GT which includes each of the four factory options and the original showroom documents. Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson, summed it up nicely, saying ““With either a unique provenance or a set of rare factory options, many of our Ford-powered vehicles are incredible pieces of American automotive history and a perfect addition to every collection.”
